Fitness Facility To Be Complete and Open This Month

Winter Park, FL – What was formerly a cafeteria in the basement of the Mercantile Bank Building will soon become the 11,000-sq.-ft. Winter Park Health & Fitness Center — thanks to interior renovations by Andrew General Contractors.

The $502,000 contract included concrete, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, all interior finishes, and upgrades on exterior sidewalks to meet codes set under the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Located on the corner of Orange Avenue and SR 17-92 and owned by Dennis Skog, a 35-year veteran of the fitness industry, the Center will include workout areas for free weights, elliptical training machines and other fitness equipment, locker rooms and a children's care center. Classes including indoor cycling, yoga and Pilates will be offered — and personal trainers/fitness instructors will be on staff.
